It's out -- Apple has launched iPAD. It's like the current trend in Farmville today, the super Pumpkin! Apple's newest gadget is like an oversized iPod touch.
It's a half-inch thick, weighs only 1.5 pounds and is sporting at 9.7 inch screen. Pretty close to all those rumors floating around the web this week. The iPad has an incredible 10 hours of battery life and one month of standby. It comes standard with a built in mic, speakers, Bluetooth, WI-Fi as well as an accelerometer and a compass. You can also purchase a keyboard dock if the virtual keyboard doesn't do it for you. You also have a 3G option that runs on AT&T for connection on the go. Data plans start at $14.99 and an unlimited plan for $29.99 a month. No contract. Every iPad is unlocked and comes with a GSM "micro-SIM" so you can use it abroad. It also comes standard with iTunes, iWork and an ereader called iBook. It can run all of your current iPhone apps and syncs seamlessly with your Mac.
Pricing starts at $499 for 16GB, 32 GB for $599 and 64GB for $699. Adding 3G will cost you $130 per model. (64GB 3G will cost $829)
The Wi-Fi devices will ship in 60 days, 3G in 90.
We've got to see if there will be video camera add-on for video conferencing. iPad will surely put a considerable cut on Kindle's market share. So start saving, it will be out in 2 months or less.

Apple to unveil MacBook Touch sooner than you think!
The much talked about gadget from Apple will soon be unveiled. I'm thinking if this is going to be another version of a tablet PC.
In general terms, tablet PC refers to a slate shaped mobile computer device, equipped with a touchscreenor stylus to operate the computer.
This form factor offers a more mobile way to interact with a computer. Tablet PCs are often used where normal notebooks are impractical or unwieldy, or do not provide the needed functionality.
The term Tablet PC was made popular in a product announced in 2001 by Microsoft, and defined by Microsoft to be a pen-enabled computer conforming to hardware specifications devised by Microsoft and running a licensed copy of the "Windows XP Tablet PC Edition" operating system or a derivative thereof.
But considering the innovations that Apple has came up -- the iPod and iPhone -- these are trend-setting, technology-shakin' and market-blowing products. Apple has defined new ways of listening to music. Just walk on a busy street and you'll see how many are bobbing their heads with white earphones (denoting iPod-user). The surge on mobile applications and games have been astronomical. Online purchases of music, videos, e-books, etc have been peaking.
Will this be a "tablet" that would be hard to swallow? I doubt it. Though bitter pill it may be because of its price, allot are eager to take a "byte". Will you?

Pacquiao-Mayweather super-fight almost done deal
The proposed super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is getting closer.
Mayweather agreed to terms for the welterweight title bout on Tuesday, multiple sources with knowledge of the negotiations told ESPN.com.
The proposed date is March 13, although there is a chance it could move to May 1, sources said. Mayweather, according to a source close to him, is OK with either date. Las Vegas, Dallas and New Orleans are the front-runners to host the bout, which is expected to become the highest-grossing boxing match in the sport’s history.
Pacquiao is the top pound-for-pound fighter in nearly every major ranking, including Yahoo! Sports. Mayweather is No. 2 in most rankings and was No. 1 in nearly all of the polls before he briefly retired in June 2008.
Pacquiao and Mayweather have fought recent bouts at catch weights. However if they complete their deal, the bout would be contested at 147 pounds, the maximum for a welterweight fight, a source said.
Top Rank's Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs), was flying to the Philippines on Tuesday night to meet with Pacquiao and try to close his side of the deal.
Arum spent much of Tuesday getting open issues resolved in his negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who represents Mayweather, sources said. Once Arum was able to do that, he left for the Philippines and is expected back on Monday.
If the HBO PPV fight happens on March 13, it would force the tentative HBO PPV fight between light heavyweights Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins to move to another date. Hopkins and Jones both fight Wednesday and must win for their fight to go through.
The site for Pacquiao-Mayweather remains up in the air. There is interest from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to bring the fight to his new stadium. There is also interest from venues in Las Vegas, including the MGM Grand (which has hosted several Pacquiao and Mayweather fights), and the Superdome in New Orleans in hosting a fight many believe will break the all-time record for pay-per-view buys, which is the 2.44 million units sold for Mayweather's 2007 split decision victory against Oscar De La Hoya.
Pacquiao is coming off a 12th-round stoppage of Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, a bout in which he won the World Boxing Organization welterweight championship and erased fears that he is not a legitimate welterweight.
Cotto was a legitimate welterweight in his prime and Pacquiao dominated, knocking him down twice and cruising to the one-sided victory.
Mayweather routed Juan Manuel Marquez, who had previously been ranked No. 2 in the Yahoo! Sports poll, in a Sept. 19 fight at the MGM Grand.
The public demand for the fight has been enormous, putting pressure on Arum and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who represents Mayweather, to get a deal done.
The fight moved front and center with heavy public demand for it following Pacquiao's dominant 12th-round knockout of Miguel Cotto to win a welterweight title on Nov. 14. The victory gave Pacquiao a title in a record-breaking seventh weight division and 1.25 million pay-per-view units.
Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs), who has won titles in five divisions, came out of a brief retirement in September to dominate Juan Manuel Marquez in a fight that generated 1.05 million buys.
Just a few days after Pacquiao's win over Cotto, Arum and Schaefer began negotiations.
One wrench in the talks was the date. Arum, Schaefer and HBO wanted to slot the fight on May 1. However, Pacquiao announced his candidacy for a congressional seat in the Philippines on Tuesday. With the election scheduled for May 10, it rules out a May 1 fight unless Pacquiao runs unopposed. Pacquiao lost the election for a congressional seat in 2007.
If Pacquiao-Mayweather isn't finalized, Arum has talked about matching Pacquiao with junior middleweight titlist Yuri Foreman, which would give Pacquiao an opportunity to win a title in an eighth division. Foreman defeated Daniel Santos to win a 154-pound belt on the Pacquiao-Cotto undercard.
Schaefer has talked about bringing Mayweather to England to match him with Matthew Hatton in the event Pacquiao-Mayweather isn't made. Hatton is the brother of Ricky Hatton, the former junior welterweight and welterweight titlist whom Mayweather knocked out in 2007.

Rachel Uchitel Photos
Google Trends is hitting high for Rachel Uchitel. Everyone is looking for Rachel Uchitel pictures and they aren’t hard to find. Since the delayed announcement of pro golfer Tiger Woods today, Rachel Uchitel has become a hot topic due to rumors of her alleged affair with Woods.Reports of Tiger Woods accident and the possibility that an argument with his wife may have caused him to drive into a fire hydrant started a massive search for pictures of the woman that may have caused the argument, Rachel Uchitel.
Her Facebook site (http://www.facebook.com/people/Rachel-Uchitel/1007082144) is not open for viewing but friend requests are accepted. It’s likely this want-to-be celeb is going to be taking on as many “friends” as she can to keep her name in the lights.BlackBook.com featured an article about Rachel Uchitel back in 2008 where she stated, ““Although I’ve been romantically linked to a famous baseball player, a Broadway star, a musician, and various film and television actors, I will never kiss and tell! … I’m lucky to get paid to just be who I am, and am so grateful to be surrounded by the people I know and love that I have met through work.”
Uchitel, 33, once worked as a television producer for Bloomberg, and has managed the VIP action at some of the most successful clubs in New York, Las Vegas and the Hamptons.

AP Golf Writer Doug Ferguson commented today that this is “the first time Tiger has made headlines outside of golf.” Typically Tiger Woods has a lot of privacy surrounding him but perhaps this Rachel Uchitel rumor is causing a load of stress for Woods and it may only get seedier if the tabloids keep posting pictures of his supposed mistress.
Tiger Woods' wife used golf club to free him from SUV
The wife of the world's No.1 golfer Tiger Woods used one of his tools -- a golf club -- to smash open a window of his crashed SUV and then pulled him out of the damaged vehicle after an early-morning accident Friday outside their Isleworth mansion.
By the time a Windermere police officer arrived about 2:25 a.m., Elin Nordegren Woods had dragged her husband out of his 2009 Cadillac Escalade. He was lying on the ground, dazed and bleeding from his lips and with blood in his mouth, Windermere Mayor Gary Bruhn said.
The crash knocked Tiger Woods, 33, unconscious for about six minutes, according to a call report compiled by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and obtained by the Orlando Sentinel. Bruhn said the golfer faded in and out of consciousness.
Windermere police Chief Daniel Saylor said that officers found Woods lying in the street with his wife hovering over him. "She was frantic, upset," Saylor said in a briefing Friday night. She told officers she was in the house when she heard the accident and "came out and broke the back window with a golf club," he said, adding that the front-door windows were not broken and that "the door was probably locked."
"She supposedly got him out and laid him on the ground," he said. "He was in and out of consciousness when my guys got there."
Woods was conscious enough to speak, he said.
"He was mumbling but didn't say anything coherent," Saylor said.
Windermere officers administered first aid until medical personnel arrived. After treatment at the scene, Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in "serious" condition, Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said. On his Web site, Woods said he was treated and released at Health Central.
Saylor said his responding officers did not hear anything about an alleged argument between Woods and his wife.
"Right now we believe this is a traffic crash. We don't believe it is domestic issue," patrol spokesman Sgt. Kim Montes said.
Woods' Escalade received $5,000 to $8,000 worth of damage to the front bumper and grille, according to FHP. Its air bags did not deploy, which suggests the vehicle was traveling less than 33 mph.
Troopers from the FHP, which is investigating the crash, visited Woods' $2.4 million mansion Friday evening, Montes said. Elin Nordegren Woods told troopers her husband was sleeping and asked that they return this morning.
Neither Woods nor his wife could be reached for comment. A woman who answered the door at the home would not answer questions.
A spokesman for Tiger Woods said he was released in "good" condition Friday. Troopers do not think alcohol was a factor in the crash. They do not know whether he was wearing a seat belt.
Woods was pulling out of his driveway and onto the 6300 block of Deacon Circle when his SUV smashed into a fire hydrant at the edge of his next-door neighbor's property and scuffed a tree, Montes said.
